Видео Адаптора е Radeon 7500 с включено хардуерно ускорение (dri).
Пускам си аз Mplayer, като за видео драйвер използвам Х11/XV и вместо картина, има смао черен екран. Не се съобащават никакви грешки за каквото и да било от страна на Mplayer. Звук има...

Изглежда всичко е ОК!

Разликата от друг път е че съм угрейднал X11 до последната версия Преди това проблем не съм имал!

Ако някой знае къде е проблема, моля да сподели че е много досадно. '>

При мен софтуерът е почти същия, с изключение на Х11, и всичко си върви. Дай малко по-подробна информация какво ти вади MPlayer-a - пусни филм от конзола и публикувай тук информацията, която излиза.
За да си сигурен, че проблема е с Х-а, излез в козолен режим (Ctrl+Alt+F1)  като root и пусни MPlayer-a с командата:
mplayer -vo cvidix Ime_na_film.avi. Ако в този режим има картина, най-вероятно проблемът е в новия Х, който си инсталирал и моят съвет е да прекомпилираш MPlayer-a, използвайки новите библиотеки и заглавни файлове на Х-а.

За прекомпилиорането на Mplayer...
Това направих най-първо след като забелязах проблема.. Уви не даде резултат.. '>

Пробвах да запусна Mplayer в конзолен режим (tty1) но явно нямам поддръжка на cvidix и съответно не стана експеримента. '>

EEEEEEEE Най-накрая се отървах от този проблем...
Накратко.. в настройките на драйвера за Радеона има една опция

Тази опция по подразбиране е оставвена като "undefined". След като я форсирах на off, и всичко си дойде на мястото..
