At Fredhopper we are searching for a talented system engineer to join the team of engineers responsible for our SaaS infrastructure. In this challenging role you will help building, extending and optimizing mission-critical system infrastructure. You will work on deployment, automation, redundancy, monitoring for hundreds of servers in the cloud to help ensure quality delivery and high availability. You will be in a unique position to build systems that directly impact many of the largest American and European retailers. Qualifications

-   University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
-   Excellent analytical and engineering skills
-   Good Linux/Unix and scripting skills; Good knowledge about network protocols
-   Experience in building/maintaining datacenters and high availability service infrastructure
-   Experience with loadbalancing, webserver, authentication technologies (such as HAProxy, LDAP, Apache)
-   Good communication skills both written and verbal; Good knowledge of English
-   Self starter with strong drive who mobilises people and gets things done
-   Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS EC2) and debugging skills are a plus
