LinuxTag is the most important place for Linux and open source software in Europe. In 2009, the 15th LinuxTag presents news for professional users, decision makers, developers, beginners and the Linux community - from 24th until 27th June on the Fairground in Berlin. Our main issues this year:

    * Mobility
      Small devices with flexible open source platforms give Linux a push. Netbooks and modern cellphones create a new approach.
    * Smart Processing
      Open source software helps with growing complexity in a company's infrastructure. It offers scalability, flexibility and security - not only in rough financial times.
    * Responsibility
      Many people worry about the aftermaths of information technology. The LinuxTag takes a look beyond Green IT. It focusses financial and energy efficiancy as well as social and public aspects of free software.

Lectures of these and many other topics, from beginners trouble to system monitoring, are taking place on all four days of the tradefair. Everyone who owns a ticket (12 Euro per day, 28 Euro all days) is free to join any of these presentations. In addition to regular tickets, the association of LinuxTag e. V. holds free e-tickets for people who participate in free software project communities.
