Как прецени 448 реални, замислял ли си се че 64 от тях са споделени за вграденото видео 
448 + 64 = 512 - Въпреки, че това "448 реални" което е написал са пълни глупости ама аре...

Абе, все тая горе-долу са 448...
Иначе преди бях с видео ATi Radeon 9250, много зле на линукс, еле изгоря лятото.. останах на тоя булшит вградения. Много ме накефи факта, че тая видеокарта не поддържа 3д, няма почти никакъв support в линукс, ама нали живея с мисълта, че някога ще сложа видеокарта като хората и да се кефя на дебиана. Следвам фразата keep walkin, поне засега. 
Рамбо, аз съм с почти същата карта бе човек АТИ радеон 9550. Недей да ме плашиш така - заредих си хладилника с лед от утре започвам активно охлаждане. И какво означава че не поддържа 3Д? Аз каквото съм се опитвал да играя проблем съм нямал, ама знам ли, имам някаква форма на астигматизъм, може пък да бъркам 2Д с 3Д и vice versa. Успокоява ме факта че дъното ми е с вградена Nvidia - чета тук и там че има пълна поддръжка под линукс - графични ускорители, хакове на инструкции и 300-400 % повишение на производителността - направо се замислям дали да не мина изццяло на вградената видеокарта а - какво ще ме посъветваш?
Само че аз не споменах, че вградената ми е SiS и при всяка възможна дистрибуция имам проблем с конфигурирането на резолюцията, защото винаги ми пуска на максималната възможна на максималните херци, дори и да го задам откъм настройки (без да бутам хорг.конф) пак логин екрана е огромна резолюция, а когато бутам хорг, не на всички дистрота проработва нормално (или се прецаква на черга, или никаква промяна). Но да не се жалвам повече, тъй като линукс е създаден да се нагажда на хардуера, а мен ме мързи да го свърша това нещо, никой не ми е виновен.  |

Това сложих и осъзнах, че когато имам предпочитана резолюция (PreferredMode "1024x768_85.00"), не ми пуска Х, а казва, че не намира екран. (Error: no screen нещо такова).

Да аз съм тъп и смених само от 75 на 85 без да помисля за тея параметри обаче...
Намерих в нета някакви, на много места е това
Modeline "1024x768_85.00" 94.50 1024 1096 1200 1376 768 771 775 809 -hsync +vsync
Пробвах да го сложа но никак не е екрана както на 1024х768 85херца.
Монитора ми е центриран попринцип перфектно за 85 херца, а сега имам една огромна черна черта в единия край от дясно, което е тъпо това не са 85херца. Знам, че обяснението ми звучи тъпо ама.. не знам как да го обясня. Другото, което е, че не мога да мина на 85 херца в Settings-> Display, щото съм си на тях (което е добре, напипал съм нещо, преди беше на 75)
Ама самия дисплей не е на 85, щото когато бях на 75 и минавах от опцийте на 85 екрана ставаше перфектен, докато сега - не.

Значи по метода на trosho се получи работата( DPI, Resolution). Но има друг проблем... Refreshment (Hz) се пуска дифолт на 75 от менюто мога да обърна дори до 100 херца и работи, ама се пуска на 75, аз искам да ми е 85. къде бъркам? Section "ServerLayout"

Та въпросната ми видеокарта е SiS Onboard 661fx. Много е гадна какво да се прави нямам друга. И така де под слак като пусна Х и ми се пуска на максималната резолюция 1600х1200. Монитора ми е 17", съответно ми трябва 1024х768. Когато сменя от опциите да ми е 1024х768 се пуска доста уголемен екран (изобщо панелите, шрифтвовете, прозорците са огромни за 1024х768). Този проблем го имах и в останалите дистрота, като дебиан, убунту, зенуолк и т.н., но там само първия път като направех настройката (пак ставаше така) и като рестарирах се оправяше. Ако може да ми кажете какво да направя, когато пусна Х да ми е с нормална резолюция, ще съм ви много благодарен. Като за начало имах xorg.conf-vesa, но аз си конфигурирах хорг и го добавих в /etc/X11/, където има вече и xorg.conf. Ще ви предоставя информацията и в двата, за да ми кажете как да "задам граници" единствената резолюция /или максималната/ да е 1024х768 85херца. /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section "ServerLayout"

Как прецени 448 реални, замислял ли си се че 64 от тях са споделени за вграденото видео
448 + 64 = 512 - Въпреки, че това "448 реални" което е написал са пълни глупости ама аре...
/off Абе, все тая горе-долу са 448... Иначе преди бях с видео ATi Radeon 9250, много зле на линукс, еле изгоря лятото.. останах на тоя булшит вградения. Много ме накефи факта, че тая видеокарта не поддържа 3д, няма почти никакъв support в линукс, ама нали живея с мисълта, че някога ще сложа видеокарта като хората и да се кефя на дебиана. Следвам фразата keep walkin, поне засега. |

Значи имах същата видеокарта (изгоря от жегата, евала) и останах на вградена. На убунту ми работеше по дифолт всичко откъм ефекти, но естествено знаеш колкото и драйвъри да слагаш не е като инвидия. Проблема който си описал не е само при теб. Просто убунту ползва много нов X, който отдавна не поддържа видеокартата и заради това ще се наложи да караш с оригиналния "ati". А щом казваш, че ти насичали прозорците, да не би да си със vesa отворен драйвър? Знам, че убунту е адски тъпо и няма конфиг на X, ама виж у нета как да си изключиш X, и после да го включиш естествено. Докато си на конзолен вариант напиши xorg -configure. Понеже е още по-тъпо ще ти го натика в /root/xorg.conf.new ама ще го преместиш и ще го едитнеш, и ще търсиш за дума vesa или ati. Кажи коя ти излиза, ако е втората нещо не ти е наред сериозно. p.s. Забравих да ти кажа, да го преместиш в /etc/X11/ |

И така. Писна ми, ядосах се и затрих чистото убунту, заедно със слака, заедно с /хоме и дори суап-а. (т.е. целия хард диск). И познайте... сложих абсолютно чисто убунту с нормален /хоме и суап и занапред няма да се занимавам с простоий като слак и т.н.
Ами това е трийте темата.. че много й стана.
