Здрасти на всички. '<img'>

Видео картата ми е GeForce4 MX440, 64MB, инсталирах оригиналните драйвери (дръпнах ги от nvidia.com), след това редактирах xorg.conf така, че дори да ми е активен TVOUT-а, изпълнявам startx, виждам логото на nVidia за около секунда, след това изчезва и ме връща в конзолата.

(btw дистрото е slack, а графиката е kde)

Знам, че ще ми кажете да погледна лога... Погледнах го, ама не вдявам... Затова го пускам тук:

Т.е. няма нещо което е линкнато към GLX-а.

Нормално е да нямаш opengl-update, това си чисто gentoo-вска работа.

Според мен ти либсват библютеките за opengl, пробвай да инсталираш mesa, след това инсталирай отново драйвера на nvidia.

ПП: Карам по спомени не съм пускал графичната среда на слак от много време.

Ако искаш да пуснеш телевизора на по-висока честота от тази, ще трябва да попрехвърлиш документацията на драйвъра, който използваш - има един файл под този който теглиш на сайта на нвидиа, който е текстов. Modeline предполага зависимост между резолюциите на монитора и на телевизора, т.е. за да увеличиш честотата на телевизора, трябва да вдигнеш честотата на монитора, но за по-точно обяснение - вж. в документацията на съответния драйвър.

Вече opengl-update остаря - сега сме на eselect. Вярно е, че се използва само в Gentoo.

Не, честотата не ме интересува, просто искам монитора и телевизора да са с резолюция 1024х768. Иначе монитора ми е TFT и честотата е 75Hz, на телевизора не знам колко е, но наистина не ме интересува.

След малко ще пиша какво става с mesa-та, т.е. дали е станало, защото за сега няма ефект.

EDIT: Не, просто няма значение дали съм инсталирал mesa или не, все едно и също е. Ако за драйвер сложа "nvidia", Х-а не тръгва, ако сложа "nv" X-а тръгва, но това е стандартния драйвер на дистрибуцията и няма tv-out.

EDIT 2: А сега забелязвам, че дори и с оригиналния си драйвер пак има нещо на телевизора, но не е разбираем образ. Просто пуска някакъв сигнал към TV-то.

След едно дълго местене на библиотеки от една директория в друга, най-накрая успях да пусна драйверите и сега преди да вляза в Х виждам логото на nVidia.

Просто идея: пробвай да коментираш Load glx и Load dri в xorg.conf и рестартирай Х-са.

P.S.: Може би не съм гледал внимателно, но в горния лог не видях Fatal Error - какво казва, като спре?

Comment-нах glx-а и тръгна. Не разбрах защо така стана, но е факт, че тръгна.

Това с glx и dri- се появи доста отдавна и го бяха описали в няколко документа. В момента при мен драйвъра работи без да го коментирам, и това е от доста време. Нямам идея защо е така - не ми се търси - сигурно има описано някъде подробно какво се случва с glx на nvidia.

Не е зле и програмистите на nVidia да ги четат тези документи, но както и да е.
