Job Summary :

Install, setup, monitor and maintain LINUX computer network, PCs and related equipment. Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure system performance meets company and user requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Administer network workstations utilizing one or more TCP/IP or non-TCP/IP networking protocols and/or one or more LINUX/UNIX based or non-UNIX based operating systems.
2. Evaluate and/or recommend purchase of computers, computer parts, network components, peripheral equipment and software.
3. Investigate end-user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
4. Install, configure, maintain, investigate, recommend,  perform and/or oversee:   
- Ethernet networks and network cabling;
- LINUX/UNIX and non-UNIX workstations by company requirements;
- other related equipment, devices and systems;
- add or upgrade and configure workstation disk drives, printers, and related equipment;
- enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability;
- establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards;

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of range of computer networking systems and languages to include LINUX, UNIX, MS Windows or similar computer networks.
- Knowledge of network hardware and peripheral equipment.
- SQL knowledge – basic installation and configuration, database management, backup maintenance plans, SQL logins management, performance monitoring.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.
- Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.
- Ability to provide technical training to end users.
- Flexibility and motivation to learn and support new systems and applications.
- Responsibilities require sometime evening and/or weekend work to response to the needs of the systems being supported.
- To adjust to situations and to the team needs.

- working knowledge in English
