http://www.remastersys.com/forums/index.php?topic=1151.0If you are using a laptop or a standard multimedia keyboard, you have probably noticed that the volume and mute buttons don't work. Here's how to fix that:
Code:
gedit ~/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml
Hit Ctrl-F (for find) and search for </keyboard>
Right above that line, insert the following lines:
Code:
<keybind key="XF86AudioMute">
<action name="Execute">
<command>amixer sset Master toggle</command>
</action>
</keybind>
<keybind key="XF86AudioRaiseVolume">
<action name="Execute">
<command>amixer sset Master 5%+</command>
</action>
</keybind>
<keybind key="XF86AudioLowerVolume">
<action name="Execute">
<command>amixer sset Master 5%-</command>
</action>
</keybind>
<keybind key="XF86HomePage">
<action name="Execute">
<command>google-chrome about:blank</command>
</action>
</keybind>
<keybind key="XF86AudioPlay">
<action name="Execute">
<command>sonata pp</command>
</action>
</keybind>
Save the file, log out and back in, and your volume and mute buttons should work. Cool, huh?
