здравейте, много често желанието е възпрепятствано от възможностите!!
По темата:свалих rpm от саита на ati ati driver 2.29.6,но след началото на инсталацията,се оказа, че има зависимост (libexpat.so.1) която е нужна а същевременно я имам като инсталиран пакет??
пробвах da инсталираm libexpat0-devel-1.95.8-1mdk.i586.rpm -пакетът се инсталира ,а след това опитах с ati отново,но резултата беше същия??
ati ме тормози достатъчно време,започна да ми писва,как така е толкова трудно @#!$@#@#!!
ако някой има идея да заповяда

Не само че е мисион импосибле... според мен никога не е била посибле.
Не мога да разбера как така производител прави продукт и после не доставя правилния начин да се употребява този продукт от клиентите.
Ати явно си харесват микрософт ама що си мисля че ако им падне микрософт яко ще им го нататанят... е сега вече амд ги купи де та нема такава вероятност.

и аз съм тъп, не разбирам и използвах инсталаторът но нищо не тръгна!

имам съмнение, че причината може да е в /dev/shm!
имам такава папка защото сам я направих-доколкото разбрах тя е за temp memmory-по скоро shared memmory .
не зная обаче дали системата я ползва
инсталаторът нямаше никакви забележки към нея!

мисля че проблема ти е липсата на модул за agp чипсета на дъното via-agp или нещо подобно се казваше.Дай изхода на lsmod.

Значи имам пресен случай с една карта ати....
Глфгеарс показва 250 фпс което на пръв погледа говори че нема 3д и работещ драйвер... да обаче драйвер има коректно инсталиран. Модул на ядрото има .. сичко си има.
Обаче глфгеарс показва 250 ФПС което означава че няма 3д ускорение все пак.
Е да, ама се оказва че въпреки показваното от глхгеарс има 3д ускорение.. Човека дето я има тази карта пуска Сериос сам и Унреал турнамент и си ги играе спокойно. А тези игри нема начин да тръгнат без 3д ускорението така че има 3д само дето хглегеарс не го показва...

aами какво ще кажеш за игрите, които са си инсталирани с mandriva и при които без 3D веднага става ясна картинката:Cannon Smash ; ppracer

Освен да направиш папка shm трябва да имаш и това
shm /dev/shm tmpfs nodev,nosuid,noexec 0 0
в /etc/fstab

защото аз не видях зареден като модул fglrx, при липсата на който няма и как да имаш 3D или по скоро Dircet Reendering.
