Здравейте, ползвам убунту от доста време(но съм начинаещ все още) и имам следният проблем който не можах да оправя след инсталация на драйвър за нвидиа - логон скринн (там кадето си пиша юзър и парола 
) буквите са огромни .Иначе няма проблем с фонтовете само в началото ако се опитам да сменя сесия (от гном на кде ) не мога защото буквите на менюто са (около 20 см. ) големи) Надявам се някой да разбере за какво говоря не че е болка за умиране работя си така повече от година но искам да инсталирам и други графични среди (за проба) и да мога нормално и спокойно да превключвам сесии.

Дай файла /etc/X11/xorg.conf и кажи на каква резолюция работиш.

Добави в /etc/X11/xorg.conf в Section "Monitor" следния ред:
Това е за резолюция 1280x1024. За други резолюции сметката е обяснена тук

Значи и аз забелязах ,че я няма разделителната способност на която реално работя в конфигурациония файл но реално работя без проблем на 1280х1024 сега не мога но като се прибера от работа ще пробвам.Не съм го направил до сега защото след като разреших ползването на рестриктет драйвъра на нвидия и после от новия графичен тул си избрах монитора и разделителната способност (1280х1024) е ок ( с малки забележки - на 50 херца работи) това го направих защото не можах да си я сменя от менюто скрийн резолюшънс(там си беше макс 800х600 50 херца) .И така после ще пиша какво се е получило но не мисля че това ще реши проблема заради който реално пуснах темата. winman благодаря за съвета надявам се да се получи.
