след редакция на lilo.conf се изрълнява команда   lilo   за да влязат на строиките в сила . Допуснати грешки могат да доведат до инсталация наново.

с     mc    можеш да редактираш /etc/lilo.conf
това е lilo.conf за 2 диска лна първи диск е линкс, на втори xp :

името на kernel , както и дяловете може да трябва да се редактират. От биоса е избрано бутване от диск1.
KDE (ili druga nastroena sreda) се стартира с:    startx
