Usb tuner & linux

Имам USB ТВ тунер. Под Уиндоус работи, но с драйвери на производителя, а такива за Линукс няма.

Убунтото го разпознава като usb устройство и толкова.
Как да направя така, че да го ползвам като ТВ карта ?

версията ми на Убунту е 6.06

Прочети тази тема тук.
Това което трябва да направиш е да кажеш:
1. Марка на тунера.
2. Чип на тунера.
3. Изхода от командата (като root) на lsusb -vv
4. Какво си правил и какво не се е получило.

Иначе едва ли някой може да помогне.

След като вече е ясно какъв е тунера и че няма открит драйвър в ядрото ти за него - следавй ето тези кратко и ясно описани стъпки:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/TV_tuner_card - те не се отнасят само и единствено за Gentoo, така че и на Ubuntu трябва да сработят. Само от google трябва да установиш кой драйвър в ядрото отговаря на твоя чипсет и да го компилираш.
Лично аз съм използвал tvtime - много добра и лека програма, но мисля, че можеш да го напрвиш вече и с mplayer и xine.
