Пробавй сега, преди когато си пробвал бях спрял програмите които ползваха тези портове.
Под програмите разбирай сървъра.

Значи пак погледнах това, което си постнал преди по-внимателно и извода ми е, че порт 3724 си работи вероятно нормално (въпреки, че не знам защо nmap ми го дава затворен), докато 8085 нещо не е в час. Още повече, че казваш, че всепак хора успяват да се свържат, но биват изхвърляни след 30сек., подобно поведение има програмата trinity тук:

Това, което се вижда са много затворени кънекции на порт 8085 и само две всеоще съществуващи, които вероятно са отишли в небитието след 30сек.

Така проблема е най-вероятно в програмата. Причините може да са 1001, както се казва. Може при ъпдейта една или повече библиотеки, които това нещо ползва да са неизползваеми сега поради ред причини. Затова предлагам да си видиш лога на въпросната програмата trinity и да го постнеш тука ако не те наведе на това какъв е проблема. Логовете се намират, както казах вече в /var/log, там търси. Освен това може да пробваш да рестартираш програмата и пак да се кьориш в лога за странности.

Междувременно гледам пак с nmap след като ти видях отговора и че програмата работи на въпросните портове сега пък ми ги дава отворени. Е по-голямо шоу от това не бях виждал.
Сега въпроса е дали пак по някое време тези портове ще се затворят. Вероятно такове е поведението на програмата в момента, а защо се е получило така и как може да се оправи само мога да гадая. Още един съвет погледни си отново всички конфиги на тази програма и всичко, което пряко зависи от правилната и работа.

Иначе за помоща добре дошъл в Линукс. Това е идеята на този форум :)

Ясно портовете работят, т.к. си пуснал програмата. Както гледам и от изхода на netstat програмата си слуша на тези портове, т.е. засега работи.

Остава да си видиш, както те посъветвах конфигите и лога на програмата. И съответно лога на програмата може да го постнеш тука. В лога търси някакви странности и грешки, дано има лог тази прогарама де, иначе пробвай преинстал на въпросната програма.

Сега ако случайно програмата няма собсвен лог може да се по-гледни в другите логове на системата, там се логват също всякакви важни събития. Виж също в syslog и евентуално го постни тука, ама само последните 200/500 реда със следната команда:

Ако не стане мисля да преинсталирам Линукса и на новия вече да не качвам никакви ъпдейти.

Преинсталираи първо проблемните програми. Ако все пак е важен съсрвъра за теб, сложи си сървърната версия на Убунту, тя е с други ъпдейти. Когато те пита за ъпдейти по сигурноста и пита за замяна на конфигурационни файлове с нови, виж какъв е фаила или си направи копие на стария преди това.

Не е добра идея всики път като изскочи проблем вместо да се реши проблема и да се научи нещо да се преинсталира - ами ако и това не помогне. Освен това ако не ъпдейтваш системата тя става уязвима, т.к. ще почнат да се трупат дупки в сигурността и, тогава пак лошо. Така че и не ъпдейтването също не е вариант. Пробвай първо преинстал на проблемната програма.

Сега по същество - мойто мнение е, че твоя сървър си работи добре, програмата ти си слуша на въпросните портове, но очевидно по-някаква причина след определен интервал от време (30сек. по твойте думи) отказва кънекции. Сега въпроса ми е твойто програма какви други програми или пакети ползва, например работи ли с mysql или взаимодейства ли с други услуги на други портове. Може в тях да е проблема. От последния лог, който си постнал се вижда, че mysql и proftd имат някакви проблеми:

Изясни се какво точно (какви пакети и услуги пуснати) изисква програмата за нармалната си работа.
Друго влез в конфига на тази програма и висш всички настройки, които са свързани със слушането на въпросните портове и то най-вече на порт 8085. Пробвай да си поиграеш с опциите и виж какво става. Ако има опция във въпросния конфиг, с която може да се зададе някакъв debug level или ниво на логване, и място на логване, напрви така че въпросната програма да логва нещо, т.к. сега в syslog ако това, което последно си постнал е syslog няма нищо от тази програма.

Може още да се направи много, но въпроса е да продължаваме ли или ти писна. Примерно може да разгледаш по-логовете, какво се е логвало преди ъпдейта и след него. Може да видиш и логовете свързани с ъпдейтващия мениджър във директорията
/var/log/apt/

Също фаиловете:
/var/log/dpkg.log
/var/log/aptitude

и да видиш какво се е ъпдейтнало да търсиш/търсим там причината. Въпроса е дали ти искаш да продължаваме да го мъчим и  евентуално да рарешим проблема (съответно и ти да научиш нещо) или ще поемеш по-лесния път на преинсталации и евентуални бъдещи подобни проблеми. Все още инфото за проблема е на твоя комп и може да разберем какъв е проблема, преинсталираш инфото отива на кино. Ти си решаваш де, на мен ми е най-лесна да те зарежа да се оправяш сам :).
